The Weirdest Anime I Ever Loved…ish

Today we will be covering the most unusual anime we ever enjoyed. Some of us have a much more diverse field from which to pick than others…

Lorekai: Kyo Kara Maou! Main character goes down a toilet, becomes king of demon world, accidentally gets engaged to another guy. Talking sword and shenanigans ensue.

ani05tersrvip: Couple tie in the anime department. Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (Lovecraftian monsters take the form of teenagers and try to sexually harass a random teenage boy/each other) and Chu-Bra (about an underwear obsessed young teen who decides to start a club about underwear…)

Windfyre: Seitokai Yakuindomo. Main character is a guy who is roped into serving on the student council of a newly co-ed girls’ private school. He plays the straight man to two incredibly, disturbingly perverse high school girls… and a midget.

Marsy: I’ve been guilty of reading many terrible shoujo manga and the weirdest one was probably Sugar Sugar Rune. It was about these two witches who went to the human world and the most popular one would be the next Queen (or something). It was kind of strange but they had nice outfits.

  1. For me, I think it’s Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita. I ended up really liking it but there’s no doubt that it’s a strange one. Girl is a UN ambassador to a new race of fairies at a time when humanity is on the decline and about to disappear. The fairies are powerful but end up accidentally causing all kinds of problems when they use their magic, and she basically has to sort things out.

The only trick is getting past the first few episodes, because the story isn’t told in chronological order. It might seem like one of those “SO RANDOM AND CRAZY” series at first, but it does have some sense to it.
